Paul's Story
I graduated Lincoln H.S. in May of 1968 then attendind Fairleigh Dickinson and latter graduated from Jersey City State. I then spent about 3 years in the USMC. I was discharged in 1975 and went back to Fairleigh for a short time and then in 1977 took a job as a Customs Patrol Officer on the Mexican Border in San Luis, Arizona. I later transferred to Customs, San Francisco in 1983. I was promoted to Special Agent in 1983 and reassigned to SAIC/Baltimore, Md. I later was reassigned to Philadelphia for a short time and then back to San Fransico as a Senior Special Agent.I married in 1994 to a Miami Special Agent and transfered to Miami. d Marine Enforcement Groups as well as in Tactical Intelligence Group. In 1999 I was promoted to Group Supervisor and in 2003 adopted a baby girl Larisa and a 18 month old boy traveling to Perm, Russia to do so. My last assignment was as the DHS/ICE Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Coordinator for the Florida Caribbean Region. I retired from DHS/ICE in July 2006. In Feb/09 I was rehired by Customs and Border Protection as a reemployed annuitant and did background investigations on CBP & Border Patrol applicants as well as periodic reinvestigations on CBP employees for security clearances. I currently work as a contract Special Investigator to the U.S. State Department doing background investigations.
